The Old Brewery is the perfect place for you to hold a special event whether it’s a birthday party, special dinner, group meeting, regular class, folk nights or any community event.
We would love to hear from you about what you would like to see happening in the Old Brewery.
The Old Brewery in Cromarty was established in 1776 and operated as a brewery until the end of the 19th century. In the 1980’s it was renovated by the Cromarty Arts Trust and is now an arts centre providing accommodation, conference and meeting facilities.
Cromarty with a population of 720 residents is located on the tip of the Black Isle at the mouth of the Cromarty Firth and is the Highlands' best preserved historic town with a wealth of attractions: 18th century architecture, bottlenose dolphins, award-winning museum, harbour and sandy beaches, beautiful countryside and wildlife, as well as comfortable accommodation, pubs with locally-brewed ale and high-quality restaurants.
For over 700 years Cromarty's livelihood has depended on its proximity to the sea, and to its fertile farm lands. It is the ideal destination in the Highlands being only 40 minutes drive from Inverness, the 'Capital of the Highlands'.
