St Cuthbert’s House is a luxurious and unique place to stay, in the heart of the beautiful and historic Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
It is an historic, Grade II listed building, situated in the quiet hamlet of North Sunderland adjacent to the popular village of Seahouses, on the Northumberland coast. We're in a very quiet area, yet just a short stroll from the busy harbour in Seahouses (where boats leave for the Farne Islands), and the stunning beaches and iconic castles of the Northumberland coast. Walk the beach to Bamburgh Castle, or take a short drive to Holy Island, Alnwick Castle and Garden, or one of many other historic castles and houses nearby. We can help you make the most of your time in this beautiful area.
We’ve renovated this historic former church, to create luxurious, stunning guest accommodation. It’s a beautiful listed building, with its charm and history preserved - but the renovation has enabled us to incorporate luxurious facilities into the six ensuite bedrooms, and the beautiful, functional living spaces. The house is so much more than simply a place to stay…it’s a place to inspire and stir you, and to provide a memorable experience of hospitality.
