B&B Bed & Breakfast United Kingdom, England, West Midlands, Shropshire Oswestry

Shropshire is one of the least crowded and most peaceful areas of England. Now one of the few remaining rural idylls, it has a long history of wild border conflicts which have left a legacy of atmospheric hillforts, earthworks and castles.

As visitors, pilgrims and honoured guests to Shropshire you'll need to know all the best places to visit and interesting things to do while you're here. Indeed as many before you have already discovered, Shropshire's attractions are as diverse as the very county itself.

Within these timeless landscapes there are charming market towns each with its own distinctive character: Ellesmere, Market Drayton, Oswestry, Bishops Castle, Ludlow, Much Wenlock and Bridgnorth. Among enticing streets and alleyways you will find antique and craft shops, inns and teashops rubbing shoulders with traditional grocers, butchers and bakers.

So whether you're seeking horticultural sanctuary or historical stimulation, amusement or distraction, Shropshire has something for everyone; award winning museums, renowned gardens, distinctive National Trust and English Heritage properties, fascinating farm attractions, abbeys and churches, street markets, speciality shops and craft centres, and unspoilt countryside to explore.

In the very heart of Shropshire lies the county town of Shrewsbury, one of the finest Tudor towns in England, and to the east - in the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge - the ten museums of the Ironbridge Gorge celebrate the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.

"Summerfield a little bit of England with a Touch of Wales" Are you looking for peace and tranquillity? Then why not stay at Summerfield?

The house was once a small holding, built after the First World War, to accommodate returning soldiers. We have recently renovated this spacious, homely house, to a high standard. The interior is a mixture of old and new which we hope blends well, as your comfort and relaxation is of utmost importance to us. We offer a choice of three comfortable, tastefully decorated bedrooms. The Oak Room, which has a double bed, with a private bathroom which includes a Monsoon Shower and Jacuzzi bath. The Mahogany Room, which has a King size sleigh bed giving exquisite comfort. This room has an en-suite bathroom. The Crystal Room is special because of it's sumptious en-suite shower room - This room costs slightly more but at £30 per person per night it's a steal..you must stay in this room 'cos..."your worth it"... All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and are equipped with hair dryers. Summerfield is in an idyllic situation on a quiet country lane, but close enough to all the necessary amenities as we are minutes from the A483 and A5 the main route to Wales. It sits in ¾ of an acre of pretty gardens, surrounded by fields and panoramic views of the Welsh Mountains. Not only do we have all this, but birds feed regularly in the garden and can be seen and enjoyed from the patio and the breakfast room. In the afternoon and evening you can sit in the garden in one of the many seating area's and hear nothing but birds singing and sounds of the livestock in adjacent fields - such an amazing chill out zone! We have, peace and calm and we are blessed to have fairies at the bottom of the garden - how fantastic is that? Your friendly hosts are Martin and Jo who want you to enjoy your stay; we will be available at all times to assist and help wherever we can.

We anticipate that you will have questions and may need some advice, so please remember. we are here for you.
