Ashford Farm Cottages, Ludlow

Let Holiday Cottage United Kingdom, England, West Midlands, Shropshire, Ludlow Ludlow

Shropshire is one of the least crowded and most peaceful areas of England. Now one of the few remaining rural idylls, it has a long history of wild border conflicts which have left a legacy of atmospheric hillforts, earthworks and castles.

As visitors, pilgrims and honoured guests to Shropshire you'll need to know all the best places to visit and interesting things to do while you're here. Indeed as many before you have already discovered, Shropshire's attractions are as diverse as the very county itself.

Within these timeless landscapes there are charming market towns each with its own distinctive character: Ellesmere, Market Drayton, Oswestry, Bishops Castle, Ludlow, Much Wenlock and Bridgnorth. Among enticing streets and alleyways you will find antique and craft shops, inns and teashops rubbing shoulders with traditional grocers, butchers and bakers.

So whether you're seeking horticultural sanctuary or historical stimulation, amusement or distraction, Shropshire has something for everyone; award winning museums, renowned gardens, distinctive National Trust and English Heritage properties, fascinating farm attractions, abbeys and churches, street markets, speciality shops and craft centres, and unspoilt countryside to explore.

In the very heart of Shropshire lies the county town of Shrewsbury, one of the finest Tudor towns in England, and to the east - in the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge - the ten museums of the Ironbridge Gorge celebrate the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.

These lovely cottages, all with conservatories and wifi internet access, are set in a conservation area at the centre of the picturesque cul-de-sac village of Ashford Carbonell. Built in 1997 to a traditional design, each cottage has its own individual front driveway and secure rear garden with patio and barbecue. There are many interesting footpaths leading from Ashford Farm, e.g. the Tinkers Hill walk or the two hour circular loop through Middleton. For the less enthusiastic walker, Teme’s Green (River Teme ‘beach’) is only 500yds away!

Well Meadow Four Star, Gold Award wifi internet access. Sleeps 4

Converted from an old granary in 2005, the cottage is situated approximately 250yds behind the owner’s farmhouse and is surrounded by 65 acres of pasture land. It enjoys total tranquility and has a splendid view of Clee Hill to the rear. A large patio follows two sides of the cottage. There is a stream adjacent to the one side of the large shrubbed and lawned garden. The garden is fully fenced and secure ( children and dogs cannot access the stream ).

The Old Bull Pen Five Star. Gold Award wifi internet access. Sleeps 6

Luxury accommodation which is all on one level. As the name suggests, back when Ashford Farm had a dairy herd, this is where the bull lived. However we very much hope that Percy, our last bull resident, would no longer recognise his home! All original oak trusses have been preserved to create an impressive interior.
