Using Plas Dinas as a base, guests can easily explore the hustle and bustle of towns and cities such as Caernarfon or Bangor, as well as venture into the countryside to experience the beauty of North Wales.
Many people visit the area to climb Snowdon – the highest mountain in England and Wales, but there are also numerous cycle paths, coastal walks, public footpaths and beautiful beaches so you are spoilt for choice.
The list of man-made and natural fishing lakes in North Wales is extensive. Bala Lake, is the largest natural still water in North Wales, with the River Dee flowing through it, offering season round opportunities to catch different fish. You can fish for fun off Llandudno Pier, night fish in Anglesey or a watching the sun rise by a tranquil countryside stream. With its dramatic coast line there are also great opportunities for harbour fishing and sea-fishing.
Just 30 minutes away, Glasfryn Parc offers the thrill of outdoor karting (indoor karting is available in nearby Caernarfon). They also offer many other indoor and outdoor activities including bowling, quad biking, fishing, shooting and archery.
With 49 golf courses in North Wales, many of them the most picturesque in the UK to play, you’re spoilt for choice. Caernarfon has its own 18 hole parkland course, with a 10% discount offered if you mention Plas Dinas. The views of Snowdonia, the Menai Straits and Anglesey on the way round are stunning.
We’re ideally placed for Plas Y Brenin, just 30 minutes drive who offer a selection of rock climbing activities throughout Snowdonia National Park, along with a range of other outdoor activities. Snowdonia’s landscape offers some of the finest rock climbing routes in Britain.
Just 15 minutes down the road, you’ll find Plas Menai, the National Watersports Centre. They offer a multitude of water based activities such as dinghy sailing, kayaking, power boating and wind surfing.
