Deep in the middle of rural Devon the Stable is a 2 bedroom cottage on our smallholding.
The Stables is approximately 200 years old and is thought to have originally been the stable block to the main house next door. It is of stone construction with a tiled roof and was converted in 1989. It is a Leasehold property, with 100 years left on the lease, the Freehold being owned by Beech Hill Property Holdings. This company also owns the Freehold to the four other residential properties around the courtyard, the main house (Beech Hill House) and the 5 acres of land that they are all set in. The Freeholder is responsible for external repairs including roof, external walls, as well as the Buildings Insurance (see leasehold details).
Alcove ceiling with exposed beams. Two double louvre doors through to fitted wardrobes with clothes rail. Two further storage cupboards. Part glazed double doors out onto raised south facing wooden balcony with views over the surrounding countryside.
The property is approached up a private drive and across a courtyard, over both of which the owner has a right of way, to the front door. There is a parking area off this driveway in which the owner has the right to park two cars.
