Set in a woodland park, Postern Hill is a peaceful campsite with sheltered pitches and plenty of wildlife to enjoy - keep a lookout for the deer.The surroundings are perfect for leisurely strolls on gentle, flat forest trails. Set in the 4,500 acre Savernake Forest, the campsite is ideal for exploring historic Wiltshire, with Stonehenge, Avebury Stone Circle and Salisbury Cathedral all within easy reach. Nearby there is the Westonbirt Arboretum, with its magnificent displays of trees and shrubs, Longleat Safari Park or the National Trust village of Lacock.
The campsite is run by the Forestry Commission and is an important habitat for a number of wild birds, plants and animals, which makes it an ideal place to stay for nature lovers.
