Lydensign is a detached traditional cottage with a large garden and ample parking, on the outskirts of the village of Hemyock, in the Culm Valley, on the Blackdown Hills.
An ideal base for touring the South West or staying local and enjoying thepeace and quiet, views, wildlife and many walks in the area.
Lydensign gets its name from long ago as the place where the password or sign was picked up to be handed over at Passby, a cottage down the hill, before visitors were allowed into the Castle grounds.
Supposedly there are underground passages from Lydensign to the Castle but we have never found any evidence!
Lydensign is a detached 3-bedroom cottage, some parts dating back almost 200 years, with 2 double beds, twin bedded room and a fully equipped bathroom.
