We’re near Welshpool, which is a country market town in Mid Wales, called the Gateway to Wales, and we are ideally situated for lovely walks, or along Glyndwr’s Way or Ann Griffiths.
There are many places of interest to visit, for example Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway (one of the great little steam trains of Wales), Canal Boat trips to Llangollen, and the beautiful Powis castle with its fantastic gardens and there are plenty of other gardens worth visiting.
Gwaenynog Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast, Campsite and Wedding Venue
Gwaenynog is a beautiful stone farmhouse B&B and Campsite in a peaceful area, ideally located for visiting Mid Wales. (Pronounced Gwen-uh-nog.)
Nestled between the Berwyn and Cambrian Mountains in Mid Wales, we’re only a mile from the River Vyrnwy, 9 miles from the enchanting and romantic Lake Vyrnwy and just 12 miles from Welshpool, we’re surrounded by some of the most wonderful, scenic areas which are relatively untouched, and seldom visited.
Each of our bedrooms has its name taken from the local bird life: Peregrine, which is our superking (or it splits into a twin); Heron & Woodpecker are the doubles; or there’s our 4 poster room which is Owl – which can also be the family room; all have en-suites with luxurious showers and extremely comfortable beds – all with varying views of the countryside around us. We hope we have thought of all the little things which will make your stay with us just right.
