There are nine cottages on Doxford Farm which is a 500 acre working farm situated amidst undulating, unspoilt, wooded countryside. The lake and its small ponds hold brown trout and our visitors are welcome to fish free of charge by arrangement with the Estate Manager. The farm has 5 miles of wooded and lakeside walks and trails. North Northumberland is abundantly supplied with places of interest. Dotted along the coast are castles of Warkworth, Alnwick, Bamburgh and Dunstanburgh and the Priory and Castle of Holy Island. As well as these landmarks there are many great houses including Cragside and Wallington which are open to the public. Cottages 1 to 7 are all stone terraced cottages and the water supply is from a private spring. Parking is available outside each cottage. All the cottages are 3 star except Dairy Maids and West Cottage which is 4 star. Our games room provides children an escape from parents and a chance to make new friends. The games room includes a pool table, table tennis, a desk for board games and a Television corner with sky + with all sports and movie channels. All guests are welcome to use the sky plus for sporting events. Wifi is available in each cottage (as of June 2010) Alternatively, it is available at the farm house. All cottages have Flat screen digital TV's with DVD players We have a bothy which can be used for a meeting place or party room.
