Campsites in the UK

New research from ‘The Camping and Caravanning Club’ has uncovered that taking your holiday on a campsites or glampsite really does bring families together, leaving people overall happier, enjoying closer relationships with their family, healthier lives, feel less stress and are more socially connected. The research was conducted by a combination of academics at John Moores University in Liverpool who looked at 60 pieces of research and an online survey,

 
‘Real Richness – The List’ – which includes statistics and stories of those who camp and how camping has in many ways transformed their lives 
 
Some of the key findings include:
 

• 93% of campers say that sleeping out under the stars make them feel happier
• Over two thirds of campers are satisfied with their quality of life compared to just over half of non-campers
• Just one in five campers feel stressed on an typical day compared to one in three non-campers
• Almost all of the children surveyed (91%) said that exploring the outdoors with their parents makes them happy
• Four out of five children who camp feel that their parents seem less stressed when they go camping and 75% say their parents lose their patience less!
