Pembrokeshire must surely be one of the most beautiful and varied counties in Britain and Haroldston Farmhouse is well placed to explore all of it. The coastline is rugged and imposing and is accessible along almost its whole length via the 187 mile long coastal path.

There are numerous beautiful sandy beaches, many of which remain peaceful, even in high season. Marloes Sands is totally unspoilt and must be one of the loveliest anywhere, yet is only 12 miles from Haroldston. For those on a bird watching holiday, regular boat trips are available to Pembrokeshire’s island reserves, most notably, Skomer, Ramsey and Caldey.

Haverfordwest is a bustling market town, ideally situated at the centre of Pembrokeshire’s road network. This is a great location for holidaymakers because it means that all of the county’s main attractions are no more than a short drive away.

The town centre has several pubs, cafes and features ‘Eddies’, a popular night club which caters for a range of age groups. The centre piece of Haverfordwest is the castle which was first established in the early 12th century. This is surrounded by quaint mediaeval streets, although most of the building facades date from a laHaverfordwest Leisure Centreter era.

For those who are enjoying a walking holiday, access to beautiful and extensive riverside walks is only half a mile from Haroldston. The Western Cleddau section of the National Coastal Park is within walking distance at Little Milford. There is also a dedicated off road cycle path that starts near to Haroldston andHaverfordwest Skatepark covers the 11 miles to Neyland Marina.

As of late 2013, Pembrokeshire Skatepark opened in Haverfordwest. This super new floodlit facility is also within walking distance of Haroldston
