Wanney Cottage is a charming and spacious former quarrymen's cottage, situated in the heart of Northumberland, the best kept secret of English tourist destinations.
It provides the ideal base to explore the region with its many tourist attractions.
Wanney Cottage is set in a quiet, peaceful locoation offering stunning views over open countryside towards the Cheviot Hills and Scotish Boarders. It sleeps 3/4 people. Pets are welcome.
Downstairs: Living room with fireplace and woodburning stove and dining area; sunroom with loveley views and comfortable double bed settee for additional sleeping space; seperate kitchen with all modern facilities, including dishwasher and washing machine.
Upsatirs: Large bedroom with king size bed and dressing table; small bedroom with single, adult size bed; bathroom with shower over bath.
The cottage is centrally heated throughout. Outdoors is a large, enclosed garden and private parking for up to 2 cars.
Children are welcome, highchair or booster seat and travel cot can be provided.
The cottage is usually let from Saturday to Saturday; prices range from £260 - £450 per week, all inclusive. During low season short breaks of at least 3 nights may be available; please contact the owner.
Wanney Cottage would suit visitors with an interest in sightseeing, walking, cycling, nature and birdwatching, fishing, golf and watersports. You can, of course, just sit back and relax doing nothing. It is only a 5 minute stroll, down the farm track, to the local pub, dogfriendly pub, The Gun.
The owners live next door and are on hand to answer any questions and to ensure visitors have a enjoyable and memorable stay.
