Streonshalh (the old viking name for whitby) is a victorian semi detached house built in 1893, and still maintains many original features.

The property is fully compliant with the latest fire regulations with a full alarm system and fire doors.

All rooms have flat screen TV/DVD, hairdryers, generous hostpitality trays and free wifi connection.

We offer clean, quiet, comfortable accommodation and can cater for parties of up to 11 people.

We have 7 en-suite letting rooms, 4 double rooms (3 of these can be twin rooms) and 3 single rooms with 3ft single beds in.

Breakfast is served in our spacious dining room with individual tables and a working coal/log fire for those frosty mornings.

All guests are offered fresh fruit and a choice of cereals followed by a full english with all ingredients sourced locally and toast.

Vegitarian and gluten- free options are available, also continental breakfast. Variations of the above are also available aswell as Whitby kippers and porridge.
