Two luxury holiday cottages located in Derbyshire within the lovely grounds of Offcote Grange. Dated 1709 and listed as a place of historical interest, Hillside is a delightful 5 star self-catering country cottage that has been sympathetically restored to provide a large luxury holiday cottage of quality and character. A beautiful mellow Derbyshire sandstone cottage with pretty stone mullioned, leaded windows and heavy oak beamed ceilings throughout, whose wood burning stoves under inglenook fire places give a warm and welcoming ambience. and a historic coaching house dating back to the 1600s.

Billy's Bothy, is a delightful former workers’ bothy that  has been sympathetically restored to provide a large 5 star self-catering cottage of luxury and quality. A warm brick built self-catering luxury holiday cottage with attractive arched windows and a feature oak and glass gable end wall which overlooks a private patio, garden area and lush green Derbyshire meadows.

• Hillside Holiday Cottage - sleeps 14, 5 bedrooms

The Hillside Croft holiday cottage sleeps up to 14 people in comfort within 5 bedrooms. On the 1st floor is a beautiful twin bedroom located close to the master bathroom, which has a luxurious roll top bath with shower mixer tap and a walk-in power shower, plus a WC.

The spacious master bedroom is also on the first floor with LCD TV and private en suite shower room and WC. Shallow stairs lead up to the second floor of the holiday cottage which has 3 further double bedrooms, one of which is accessed through another bedroom.

These double bedrooms also have 4 single beds within them which have been specially built to be accommodated under the sloping ceilings. One further bedroom has an LCD TV. The bedrooms are luxuriously fitted and furnished to a high standard with antique pine furniture and co-ordinated linen and upholstery.

On the ground floor is a comfortable lounge with revealed stone walls and heavy beamed ceilings, and a cosy wood burning stove is provided for those colder nights. There are 3 sofas and a chair, with a picture window overlooking the front garden and beautiful Derbyshire countryside. An LCD TV, video, DVD and CD player is provided. Next to the lounge and down 1 step is the dining room, a beautiful room with beamed ceilings, oak floors and a magnificent inglenook fireplace holding a second wood burning stove. All furniture is in antique pine, with a lovely hand-made chicken coop dresser as the feature of this light and airy room.

Off the dining room is Hillside’s farmhouse style kitchen. The kitchen is a delight, fitted with handmade pine units and a mixture of tiled and granite worktops with a French pottery sink. Again heavily beamed and overlooking the rear garden, this lovely room is the perfect setting in which to conjure up those culinary masterpieces and is extremely well equipped. Self-catering holidays are a joy rather than a chore in such a venue, with the soothing Derbyshire and Peak District landscapes visible all around.

• Billy's Bothy Holiday Cottage - sleeps 10-16 people

Billy’s Bothy is an ‘upside down’ house and is built into a bank giving both floors ground floor access. All rooms of this luxury holiday cottage are beautifully furnished with bespoke hand-made pine and coordinated furnishings, as you would expect from a luxury holiday cottage in Derbyshire. On the first floor is a large lounge with a feature oak and glass gable giving access to the patio and garden area. There are 4 comfortable sofas on which to relax after those long days out including 1 sofa bed, and a cosy wood burning stove gives extra ambience to this beautiful luxury holiday cottage. Off the lounge is our first double bedroom with en suite bathroom.

From the lounge you enter the dining room, where the central focus is a large hand made table with seating for 14 people, perfect for those intimate meals with friends and family. From the dining room to the fabulous galleried kitchen which overlooks the main entrance hall. Beautifully fitted with hand made pine units with granite worktops, the kitchen is a delight to create in, being extremely well equipped with all you will need. At the far end of the kitchen area is a second double en suite bedroom.

All bedrooms in this luxury holiday cottage have comfortable, character brass and cast iron or pine beds, WI FI and LCD TVs with free view, and are beautifully fitted for your comfort. On the ground floor are 2 double en suite bedrooms and 1 twin en suite bedroom with 2 fold up beds. Also on this floor but separate to the main cottage is a 6th twin en suite bedroom which can be hired separately to give a sleeping capacity of 16 plus cots. The feature hand made oak stairs lead from the main entrance hall up into the galleried kitchen, where you will find there is a safety stair gate at the top.

This is a beautiful luxury holiday cottage suitable for children and elderly alike. A location where you are free to wander the grounds, meet the chickens and be at one with the nature of Derbyshire and the Peak District. There is plenty of space for children to play, and lovely grounds for parents to relax in whilst keeping an eye on them.

On site we have a sauna which is available to guests to help you unwind after a heavy day out seeing the sites of the Peak District. A cinema screen is also available in our luxury holiday cottages to watch large screen films by arrangement, children must be accompanied by an adult.
