Wide skies, beautiful sunsets, an idyllic place where light pollution is unknown! Ann and Phil have created a cosy haven in their characterful farmhouse B&B in excellent walking, cycling and riding country.

Warm and welcoming, the farmhouse which dates back to the 15th Century has a wealth of original features - inglenook fireplace, a woodburning stove and beamed ceilings - sits in its own grounds of eight and half acres and is a quiet location for a relaxing stay. The gardens are there to be enjoyed and stunning views over the valley to the sea, Lundy Island and beautiful sunsets.

There is ample parking, quality accommodation, with all new fixtures and fittings. Clean, light and airy rooms include twin/six foot super king double beds with en-suite bathroom or luxury king size double with private bathroom.

  • The new Millennium Walk passes by the farm, a circular walk of 20 miles around the town of Great Torrington which incorporates some of the 365 acres of commons around the town (open to everyone) and the Tarka Trail (Tarka the Otter a famous children's story written by Henry Williamson who stayed in the area)
  • Within 5 minutes walking distance is Darracott Reservoir, offering coarse fishing in an attractive 3 acre reservoir
  • Nearby Great Torrington, set high on an inland clifftop, with spectacular views of the countryside, is a friendly town which celebrates its past; Most of the town streets are closed for their major festivals – the 1646 Civil War Re-enactment on the 16th February and May Fair, celebrated on the first Thursday in May, with the Carnival being held on the following Saturday evening
  • There are several excellent places to eat out in Great Torrington as well as a large number of ancient pubs in the surrounding villages, many thatched and dating to medieval times, serving excellent food, local real ales and cider
