Common House farm Holiday Cottages, Haltwhistle

Holiday cottage/Self catering

Whether your perfect holiday includes beautiful walks over remote moorland, enjoying a romantic break away or just relaxing on your own private patio listening to the call of the curlew, Common House Farm has it all.  Lying in true Northumbrian countryside only one mile from the most dramatic and best preserved sections of Hadrian’s Wall, Common House Farm consists of 5 recently refurbished holiday cottages each having its own south facing patio with spectacular elevated views towards the Pennines.  It makes an ideal base for those wanting to walk Hadrian’s Wall as well as for anyone wanting to explore the long and colourful history of the Border Reiver countryside. All the cottages are equipped with walking routes, books and maps on the area and we have been accredited with the Walker’s Welcome award from Visit Britain.

If its just relaxation you are after, then look no further.  The cottages offer a peaceful and rural haven with plenty of wildlife on your doorstep. You may even be lucky enough to see our elusive stoat!  The picturesque market towns of Corbridge and Hexham are only a short drive away, where you will find quaint shops as well as real ale pubs offering local produce and a warm Northern welcome.
