With an onsite shop, small cafe, children’s playground and bike hire, Christchurch is perfect for a family holiday. There are electric hook-ups as well as toilet and shower blocks. The site can get very busy during peak season, so advanced booking is advisable. Nearby Symonds Yat offers great views over the River Wye and walks down to the river. There are several activity centres in the area that can offer canoeing on the river itself. Good local pub recommendations are The Ostrich Inn at Newland and the Saracen’s Head at Symonds Yat East. There is also a Go Ape high ropes course in the Forest, a fifteen-minute drive from the site. Ranger Activities are available on the site.
