Old school converted to an independant family run hostel with lots of character, located just outside Derry along the beautiful North Coast, cheap internet, FREE breakfast, FREE private parking.   We have a fully furnished self- catering kitchen, central heating, hot showers, drying room, bike hire and secure bike storage, laundry facilities, bed linen provided, BBQ area,  meals available on request, nice local pub/restaurant 2 miles away with great music and craic.  

Carrowmena Hostel is ideal for exploring local beauty areas such as Causeway Coast, historical Walled City of Derry, Sperrin Mountain Range, Mussenden Temple, Roe Valley Country Park, Lough Foyle all within 15 mile radius.  Downhill, Benone and Magilligan beach are only 8 miles away, activities on beach, swimming, running, surfing, jet skiing, canoeing (hire equipment at Carrowmena).

The local town, Limavady, where food and drink can be bought, is only 4 miles away. The historical Walled City of Derry is 12 miles away and the Magilligan ferry to Donegal 4 miles. Easily accessible from airports.  Bus and train stations within 5 miles.  We have a range of tourist information and can help you plan trip.   Here at Carrowmena Hostel we have a  large area for camping.
