- The village of Hanley Swan is a mile’s walk from Site
- It has a Post Office, general store, butchers and pub
- The Malvern Hills are the backdrop to the Site
- A network of paths crosses the hills, including one running the length of the three major summits
- Great Malvern Priory has both Norman and Perpendicular Gothic architecture and unusual carvings
