Our Ashurst site is set in the middle of a woodland glade, with direct access to the Forest with its footpaths and cycle paths. The free-roaming ponies and cattle have access to the site, making it popular with families. A five-minute walk will take you into Ashurst village, with its shops, pubs and restaurants. The Happy Cheese family-friendly pub is a minute’s walk from the site. Lyndhurst, the unofficial “capital” of the New Forest is just four miles away. Here you can find the Verderers’ Hall, the official meeting place of the Verderers’ Court, which was established in 1877 and is responsible for the protection and conservation of the New Forest. We are sorry, but dogs are not allowed on this site and there is no electricity, but there are toilets, showers and a launderette.
